Teatro ZinZanni: Love, Chaos & Dinner Information:
Dreams and divas, laughter and song, cirque and spectacle - a full evening of interactive theater, music and dance served with a feast! Teatro ZinZanni combines some of the world's most renowned cirque artists, contortionists, aerial artists, jugglers and illusionists with live music and a gourmet five-course meal. Welcoming the return of comic genius Kevin Kent as "Cookie" - the outrageously flamboyant chef, to head star-studded cast from Feb.19! Guests quickly discover that the entertainment is not confined to the stage as European clown characters engage and entertain the entire room. Teatro ZinZanni breaks new artistic territory with this intoxicating blend of interactive theater, spectacle, fine arts and fine dining, put together under the artistic direction of One Reel's Norman Langill. The splendid antique spiegletent, named Le Palais Nostalgique, is one of the few remaining hand-crafted traveling tents built in the early 1920s in Europe. Owned by a Belgian family, Le Palais Nostalgique came to the United States for the first time in October 1998 for Teatro ZinZanni. Originally these spiegeltents served as wine tasting pavilions and dance halls, traveling to thousands of European locales for over 70 years. THE PERFORMERS (See Additional Information section below for Performer synopsizes) Welcoming the return of the one and only Kevin Kent - the outrageously flamboyant chef! Comic genuis and sensational Chef de Cuisine ("You can call me Cookie") stole the show when it first opened four years ago (Feb 19 - Jun 14, 2004) Duffy Bishop as The Chanteuse. Andrea Conway as Mitzi. Crystalle as Crystalle. Wayne Doba as Dick Nimby. Lutz Jope as The Maitre d'. Leon Kaufmann as Mr. Gustav. Mat Plendl as Chou-Chou, Heather Clemens as The Diva. THE MEAL: The menu is designed by San Francisco's Taste Catering and changes with the seasons. Either a non-vegetarian or vegetarian entrée is available. Vegans can be accommodated upon request. A variety of fine wines, beers and spirits are available for purchase with your meal.
